9.3. Time Step Controls¶
The irradiation history is provided by the user for coarse time intervals. MFUEL subdivides these time intervals into approximately 10,000 s substeps and uses it as main time step. As described in Section 9.2, individual models may further subdivide the MFUEL’s main time step. In transients, the maximum allowed time step in MFUEL is 0.01 s. If SAS’s heat transfer time step is higher than 0.01 s, MFUEL will subdivide it to satisfy the time step requirement.
